Transportation permits are required when transporting large vehicles through the city. Examples of uses requiring a transportation permit include: oversized vehicles; moving modular homes or structures; moving construction equipment; and any other transportation that exceeds the city's standards.
The cost of the permits are $16.00 for a single trip. If the hauler is making two or more trips with the same vehicle to the same location the moves can be put on the same permit but the permit fee needs to reflect this, (example: two trips, permit fee is $32.00). Annual permits are also available for $90.
Currently, we will accept permit applications over the counter or via a fax back system. We are working on implementing a new On-Line application that will reduce paper use and paperwork. Until we have the on-line application functioning, please use the application link below.
