In an effort to help protect the public and prevent community spreading of the novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), and in accordance with the Governor’s executive order, the City of Cathedral City has closed all City buildings to the general public.
Although we will strive to be as responsive as possible, additional time may be needed to process applications, perform plan reviews, issue permits and provide inspection services. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
The Building Department will accept applications and plans electronically (PDF), conduct plan reviews and issue permits by email. Appointments may be scheduled to deliver plans in person. During this time, NO INTERIOR RESIDENTIAL building inspections of existing homes or units will be performed.

The Building Department issues building permits, performs plan checks and conducts inspections on all building construction, additions and alterations to assure compliance with current Building Codes, City ordinances and State and Federal laws.
