The City of Cathedral City is committed to transparency and providing easy access to public records pursuant to the California Public Records Act (CPRA).  The California Public Records Act gives the public the right to access records created and maintained by public agencies in the course of their normal business.

The City of Cathedral City does not maintain certain types of public records. Requests for vital records (such as birth, death, and marriage certificates), court records (including divorce filings), property records (including property tax and ownership information), and public housing or rental assistance are handled by Riverside County agencies or other appropriate authorities. Please contact the applicable agency directly for assistance with these records.
