The City Council of Cathedral City appointed Christina Gordon to fill the District 3 seat left vacant by the passing of Councilmember Mark Carnevale on November 16, 2025.
 
Gordon was selected following interviews with 11 candidates at a special City Council meeting held on Jan. 7, 2026.
 
Gordon brings more than 20 years of experience as a nonprofit executive and currently serves on the board of directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Cathedral City. She will serve the remainder of Councilmember Carnevale’s term, which expires in November 2026.
