Implementation of the Governor’s budget includes elimination of the Redevelopment Agencies throughout the State. This had a huge impact on Cathedral City since redevelopment funds were used to build the City and community we know today. In addition, the Cathedral City Redevelopment Agency passed through over $38 million to the Palm Springs Unified School District over the past few years.
