Fall Prevention (Free Educational Session for Older Adults)
Staying active is essential to good health as we get older, but the risk of falling and fracturing bones or suffering a traumatic brain injury increases. Join Cathedral City Fire & EMS, in collaboration with the Cathedral City Senior Center, for a free one hour session covering safe medicine practices, practical tips to fall-proof your home, steps to prevent fall-related injuries, and the importance of gait and grip strength. According to the CDC, falls are a leading cause of injury and death among older adults, with about 36 million falls occurring each year worldwide. Don't be a statistic!
