| Scope of work: The
project area is located along the Morongo Creek Levee between Vista
Chino and Verona Road.
The proposed improvements are to reduce
blow sand hazards located along the channel. Construction will include
onsite grading, modification and installation of the irrigation
system, installation of a living wind break for the entire ½ mile
length, stabilization and compaction of the exposed earth slopes, the
installation of Class 2 miscellaneous base on the existing levee
service road, and security fencing, as necessary.
All work and resulting facilities will
fully conform to the current adopted Coachella Valley State
Implementation Plan (CVSIP) for PM-10 and Congestion Mitigation Air
Quality (CMAQ), including Best Management Practices during the
construction process.
