The City of Cathedral City has awarded a contract to Matich Corporation for the widening and rehabilitation of Ramon Road, between Date Palm Drive and Da Vall Drive. When the project is complete, Ramon Road will be three lanes in each direction, with new pavement, sidewalk improvements, traffic signal interconnect, and drainage improvements.
Work on the project began on Monday, June 18th, and will take place over a period of 16 weeks. Daily working hours shall be between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, except legal holidays.
Similar work on Ramon Road between Date Palm Drive and Landau Boulevard will begin after the current project, however the City has not selected a contractor to complete that work at this time.Matich Corporation will make every effort to keep access to homes and businesses open at all times, but there may be a time when a driveway or cross-street may be temporarily inaccessible. There will always be at least one eastbound and one westbound lane open on Ramon Road throughout the project.Emergency vehicles and all other services will have access throughout the duration of the project. The nearly $2 million project is primarily funded through Caltrans and CVAG grants. Please direct any questions to Matich Corporation, c/o Lester Sand 909-844-2798, or the City of Cathedral City at 760-202-2464, or email email@example.com.
