Dive right in and make a creative splash to help make our planet a better place. In the United States, every man, woman and child produces about 4.4 pounds of garbage a day or a total of 29 pounds per week and 1,600 pounds a year. And, whether you live at the shore, on a mountain top or in the desert, we can all make a dent in that amount by working together and recycling.
At the S.C.R.A.P. Gallery, kids are taking the environmental plunge. Kids learn that they can be the change-agents for the environment through creative recycling. By practicing the Four R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Responsibility, kids discover what they can do. By transforming trash into art, diverting rubbish from landfills, saving energy and conserving natural resources, they can do more than change the world; they can save the planet.
