Notice of Vacancies

The City of Cathedral City announces two vacancies on the Public Arts Commission with a term to begin immediately upon appointment.  PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION NO LATER THAN THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2016, to the Office of the City Clerk, 68-700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero, Cathedral City, CA 92234.   Applications are available at the City Hall reception desk and can be downloaded from the City’s website at or at the following link application. For more information, please call the Office of the City Clerk at 760-770-0322. City Hall is open Monday through Thursday; 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE THAT CITY HALL IS CLOSED EVERY FRIDAY. Interviews will be conducted before the City Council on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at a Special Meeting at a time to be determined (in the p.m.) appointments may be made following the interviews or at a future Council Meeting. 

The Public Arts Commission advances performing and visual art in the community. It makes recommendations to the City Council on the selection, acquisition and installation of public art paid for by developer fees; support and production of concerts, readings and other live arts performances; sponsor programs; development and use of facilities for arts projects; and cooperative ventures with other art organizations throughout the Coachella Valley.

The Public Arts Commission meets the second Monday of each month 5:30 pm at City Hall.

On the 2nd Monday of each month, Cathedral City Public Arts Commission meetings are broadcast on Spectrum Channel 17.
