RFP - Landscape Maintenance
of Medians & Landscape/Lignting Districts
NOTICE INVITING PROPOSAL
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that City of Cathedral City invites sealed Proposals for the above stated project, described briefly as landscape maintenance for Cathedral City medians and lighting/ landscaping districts.
The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Specifications and Contract Documents for the above stated project.
Printed copies of said Specifications and Contract Documents are available from City. Proposers are advised to review contract documents and specifications with care and to note that the character, scope, locations and frequency of the work may have changed significantly from prior contract years.
This contract will be for a period of twelve (12) months starting January 2016, with an option for two one-year extensions based on Contractor’s performance.
Work will be accomplished while observing and adhering to all applicable regulations including but not necessarily limited to the following: WATCH Manual for Traffic Control; California MUTCD; OSHA and Cal-OSHA; NPDES; and City’s MS4 Permit.
At the time of the Proposal, the prime Contractor shall possess a Class “A” Contractor’s license and/or any combination of Class “C” specialty Contractor’s license(s) sufficient to perform the work. At minimum, a California C-27 Landscaping Contractor license, a California Pest Control Applicators License (QAL), a Riverside County Pesticide Business License, and all other required licenses, permits, certificates and registrations required to perform the scope of work shall be required.
At the time of contract award, additional requirements shall include performance and payment bonds; commercial general, workers’ compensation, and business auto insurance policies; and a City of Cathedral City business license.
Pursuant to Section 1770, et. seq., of the California Labor Code, the successful bidder shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations. A pre-bid meeting for the LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE PW-MFRP-2015-1 Project is scheduled for November 19 2015 at 9:00 AM. The pre-bid meeting will take place at the Civic Center (City Hall) Building located at 68-700 Avenida Lalo Guerrero, Cathedral City.

Questions regarding the LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE PW-MFRP-2015-1 Project must be submitted electronically to the following email address (email@example.com) by or on November 23, 2015. All questions and responses will be distributed to all contractors on December 1, 2015.
Submittal Date: Complete submittal package including all required documents are to be submitted to the City by no later than 2:00 pm December 7, 2015 Submittal packages received after the due date and time will not be accepted.
