Local Hazard Mitigation Plan

 The City of Cathedral City requests your comments and feedback on their Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP).  The purpose of the plan is to allow the City to pursue grant funding opportunities with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that assist with hazards reduction.  A requirement for these grant opportunities is for a City to development a plan that identifies the potential risks associated with their natural hazards. This plan was developed by the City of Cathedral City in accordance with FEMA requirements and guidance and identifies the areas of the City susceptible to different natural hazards and the facilities at risk to these hazards.

The public is welcome and encouraged to participate in the process and to comment on the draft Hazard Mitigation Plan during its drafting stages and prior to seeking final approval from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
